The Grunch Musical Theatre Program

Program: September 12, 2023 - March 20, 2024
Performance: March 21 - 24, 2024 at Pal Studio Theatre

Grade 4 to 7 students will work as actors learning the fundamentals of musical theatre drama through weekly classes before performing six public performances. Each performance is a one-hour full-stage musical theatre production of The Grunch, Winner of New York Children‘s Musical Festival. Classes in Vancouver and Richmond.

SYNOPSIS

Inspired by “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas”, The Grunch tells the story of Rudy Grunch, a grumpy 6th grader who always feels like an outsider. When the entire school gets excited about the annual school musical, he comes up with a perfect plan to ruin it for everyone; he’ll steal the sets, costumes and lights the night before it opens. But will the spirit of theatre prevail?
